FAQs
A little clarity before we connect.
-
Book a free consultation: Schedule online or email me directly to set up a free 15–20 minute phone or video call.
We talk: This is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. You share a little about what's been going on, ask any questions you have, and we see if we're a good fit.
Schedule your first session: If it feels right, we pick a time and get started. It's that simple.

I am out of network with all insurance providers. I will provide you with a receipt for services (called a “Superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Here are some questions to ask your insurance carrier to see if you qualify for reimbursement:
What is my out of network coverage for mental health services?
What is my out of network deductible? (Often insurance plans have separate out of network deductibles)
What service codes does my plan cover without pre-authorization? (e.g., 90847 is the code for couples counseling, 90834 is a 45-minute individual session)

I work with clients in-person from San Francisco or Marin County.
I’m in lower Pacific Heights at 2211 Post St, Suite 300, San Francisco (One block from UCSF Medical Center and Divisadero St.) and in Corte Madera at 300 Tamal Plaza, suite 220. On-site parking is available at both locations.
I also do “walk and talk” therapy, primarily from Marin, and see clients online from anywhere in California or Illinois.

To avoid paying for a missed session, please cancel 24 hours in advance.

As a private-pay client, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what therapy will cost before we begin working together.
This is a written estimate of the expected cost of your care — including session fees and anticipated frequency — so there are no surprises. I'll provide one before your first session, and you can always ask for an updated estimate at any time.
